As far as I know all Audi wood trim is genuine.  No faux wood here.
The late 80s to early 90s Audis generally have zebrano wood, except
the V8 which has burled walnut.  Audi discontinued zebrano due to
its scarce nature and wen to all walnut in the mid 90s.  Nowadays
you have a choice of walnut or maple, glossy or matt finish.
Many people think that the Audi wood trim is fake because of the
thick glossy lamination,  It's interesting people don't make the same
assumption when they see the glossy wood in a Mercedes.
