RE: Trans cooler transfusion confusion
What is/was the original?
Per Bentley the REE came with a "return flow 5-row" cooler.
The REE also has taller 3.08 final drive gears as compared to the lower 3.45
final drive gears for the RDN or RDG, more top end but slower off the line.
I don't know the fluid circuits in the trans to be able to say if it will or
won't work. Maybe I am overly conservative but I would be hesitant to try it
without knowing more than I do.
I think the Bentley manual may be referring to the fluid flow to and from
the torque converter (major heat source). If there is an fluid passage in
the diff housing you could tap into you would have to tap into two places
and plug it in between to force fluid to flow through the cooler.
I would suggest a complete trans or the correct diff .

were less trouble.
Good Luck

The new diff is a REE 30 11 9.
I posted this because originally, I got some private posts
that it _was_
possible.

Of course there
