FP runs whole time engine is running, and if your FPR cooperates, for a
few seconds after key is first turned on (on a timer, not pressure
sensitive). Any excess fuel volume/pressure is returned to the tank via
the other fuel line. If yours is running without the engine, something
is fishy in FPR land. btw, the FPR controls all this, it has a coil
input (r/y/bk wire) to tell it the engine is going bang bang bang as it
should.
