Hi David,
I'm not surprised, the NF high compression engine makes more torque at
lower rpm with higher octane fuel. The ignition maps are different based
on knocking present. My NG engine (basically the same) gets 89 octane gas
and gets a calculated (actual miles/actual gal) of 28 MPG. I've gotten the
trip computer to register as high as 30.3 MPG at a steady 70 MPH. Then
again, the CGT is much lighter.
