Coupe GT Heater Core and other jobs...

I'm curious to know what is involved with replacing the heater core on an 
'86 coupe GT. Basic instructions (such as remove dash...I'll be borrowing 
a Bentley, so only basic instructions are necessary now) and how long 
it's expected to take would be great. I'm thinking of buying a CGT, 
however the heater core needs replacing.  I'm mechanically adept and am 
familiar with later model audis. 

Does anyone know of a website where I can learn how to port and polish a 
head?  I'll also be getting an '82 for parts and I'd like to 
learn/practice on it before I do the GT's.
