Thanks for your continued input.
In case you missed my comments in the "nightmare" thread, I did get
confirmation of my own opinion from an intelligent sounding tech at
the local Audi dealer. He claimed that it is almost impossible to
reverse the friction disk. Without having to think about it he said,
that the spring cage should face the clutch plate.
I also made some waves at Bentley and await confirmation that their
instructions are correct. Presumably this cannot possibly be wrong
without it having been brought to their attention earlier and been
recorded on some errata sheet somewhere.
