Last season I used Gislaved NordFrost studded on my 87 Saab 900.  I
absolutely loved the tires.  Not very loud, decent dry weather handling
and incredible on snow and ice.  I just recently sold the Saab and am
probably going to get a set for the 4kq.  However, I recently looked at
a set of Hakka 1's.  I've talked to a lot of rally drivers that use
Hakka's and swear by them.  I imagine that they work as well as
Gislaved's if not better in snow.  The Hakka 1's have an direction tread
and deep lugs as well as sipes.  Supposedly, they also use some type of
stud locking system.  Maybe I'll get a pair for the 4kq.  My only
problem is that I won't be able to directly compare them to the
Gislaveds because I'd be comparing front to AWD.
