I believe that all modern GPS units have no problem with Y2K.
there was a "problem" with almanac data (rotation restart of position data
for the geosynchronous satellites) back in August. And the thing incolved
was that it was recommended to switch your GPS off for a few hours so as not
to loose your position all of a sudden.
Now that is what the authorities say (for the Y2K)
Personaly I would rather stay at home watching the logs burn at the
fireplace and switch my GPS on January 1st.
