One doesn't *have to*.

Yes, the new bars does open up the option of some DIY performance tuning :)
I hope that the add-on spoiler is only a stopgap measure and that later
TTs will come with an auto-retractable design a la Boxster, 911, Corrado
or Beetle 1.8T.

Indeed.  I wonder if Audi overreacted to this one, from the scare of
the unintended acceleration experience.  If "abrupt handling at high
speeds" is a fault to be recalled, then Porsche should recall all pre-993
911 models. :-)  Or for that matter, the E30 BMW 3 series, or early
RX7... etc.  Now *those* cars have real spiders onboard (sorry I said
the word).
