sorry for the delay in responding, i've been fishing....
the torsen avoids axle speed differences (like a locking differential) while
proportioning torque until it reaches the torque bias ratio. at the bias
ratio, it will hold the torque distribution at the bias ratio level, and
allow output shaft speed differences.

Damn.... I thought I was following this thread pretty good...until now.
I Understand how the torsen is essentially locked after it hits the "bias
ratio" ...but now you are suggesting it is locked before the bias ratio. If
it locks before the bias ratio, then how does it ever get to the bias ratio?
Certainly I'm confused, perhaps someone could help me get back on track with
all 4 wheels.
