I KNOW I bought a 200TQ Avant.

hAudi:

First, thanks for all the positive replies! I really wasn't sure of what
I had done, as it was purely an impulse thing, I haven't been looking for
a car, was completely out of touch with prices (had a vague idea based on
the non-existant market for the 5KS), and in past such impulse buys have
been "life lessons" <---good phrase to use when you don't want to admit
you were an idiot.

The car is grey, black leather interior, 1990 200TQW. I went out early
to get the paperwork before the owner could change his mind, it's all
registered and sitting in the driveway. I did not respond to any listers
earlier for fear that it would somehow jinx the deal, but a hearty THANKS
to all, at least I lost sleep on the weekend thinking about why I didn't
get something in writing from the owner rather than wondering if I had
made a mistake. The car seems to be indeed worth a little more than I
paid, as I found out when the sales tax was charged on Blue Book value of
$7750.00 vs the $3500 I paid, my abatement form is already in the mail.

Upon closer inspection, I did find a few things that need taking care of,
the electric coolant pump looks like it's seaping a bit, and a few of the
plastic ends of the rear cargo cover are broken, there are a few burned
out bulbs in instrument cluster (can't even see the tack at night), the
glovebox light is broken off (BAD design, the V8Q is the same), and the
fog lamp housing in the rear is cracked (it looks similar to the lightbar
on the 5KS).
