FWIW, my virginal FP experience wasn't so easy. The first time I cleaned the
FP screen and wiped out the tank the car ran fine for 20minutes, exactly.
The second time I cleaned the screen and wiped out the tank, the car ran for
20seconds and died. Finally, I did the TSB, and the car ran fine for 120k
miles (and still going strong).
Bottom line is the silt clogs the filter. IF you are lucky, you get mike's
btdt. I argue why bother, I can only think of one thing worse than dipping
my arm in gasoline the first time, and that's doing it again.
