Here is the thing though. Yeah, there would be alot of fabrication, but
you would get an engine that is 20% shorter, A LOT lighter because it is
all alloy, much more tunability etc etc etc
Its the same as doing a turbo conversion as far as engine management (ok,
maybe not quite as easy, but certainly not impossible). Engine mounts
arent a huge deal to fabricate if you have a friend or two, and you just
need an adapter plate made to mount the tranny to the engine..
And remember, that 220 hp that the 944t has, that is stock and at i think
8 lbs of boost or something like that, if you do the 12lbs of boost like
we do to get 220-230, then you are talking about 270-280 in the 951
engine. To get 400+ hp out of that thing with about 350 or so at the
wheels is pretty simple, the volumetric efficiency of the engine is just
phenominal imo.
