Where do you get the 2mtr cell-lookalike antenna?
Thanks,

Not sure how your A4 trunk gutters are shaped, but on my '93 100 CSQ I
managed to disguise the amateur VHF/UHF installation quite well. I used a
Larsen NMO L bracket that was shortened on a grinder a bit to fit the trunk
gutter contour. Three small holes are drilled into the quarter panel.
Apply silicone liberally to prevent rust, and use Stainless Steel screws.
Small Teflon RG-316 must be used from the NMO to the trunk interior so that
it can clear the trunk-quarter panel gap. The RG-316 also resists wear very
well, as it rubs against the trunk lid. Once inside the trunk (went thru
the rubber tail light cable gasket), I attached SMB connectors to transition
to conventional RG-58.
The antenna is a black cellular look alike about 17" in length. Sorry, you
can't use a 5/8 whip and still look like cellular but you can keep one in
the trunk for those rural trips. A real glass mount PCS/AMPS antenna is at
the top of my rear window, so the car looks like it has diversity cellular.
I've also resisted amateur call plates. The IC-901 radio is in the trunk
(just love the short run of cable to the back seat battery!!!), and the
control head is stashed.
Hope that this provides you with some ideas.

I had a swing in type that went into the trunk when not in use. It was OK
but
that was a long time ago. I wanted something that didnt scream "Radio
equipment
inside". Id be curious to know if there are better ideas for this as well.
