Starting Hesitation when engine is warm
I have had a problem for some time since I got a new starter last year.
When the engine is warm and I need to start the car it hesitates for a
second or two. I figured it was the starter getting a ton of heat on it
from the engine and acting badly when hot. Now I had the thought that maybe
it could be a charging problem. Driving around and engine gets hot. I stop
and get out, come back 10 minutes later to go and the starter hesitates.
BUT if I leave the car for 2 hours and the engine cools there is no
hesitation. Hesitation means, I turn the key and the starter cranks a tiny
bit then makes a faint little grr noise, then starts right after that a
second later. Any ideas?
Thanks!
