Heater core on a Type 44 takes a fair while, too. The car went back
together late last night - it's been off the road for a week. Since
I had the seats out, I also took the time to destain and shampoo the
(light grey) carpet.
The aftermarket airconditioner flap was also siezed in the recirc
position - it took some freeing up with violence, heat and oil. The
vacuum line that controls it was split in both right-angle boots, and
the wasn't a check valve between the manifold and the vacuum reservoir -
perhaps the installers didn't notice the turbo ...
