Not relevent.  Dave this isnt' a discussion as to which device is "better" 
only looking to understand one that isn't so predictable.  Driving around 
with the center diff locked all the time on dry cf, isn't something any of us 
lockers would recommend.  However, comparing the two there are some obvious 
differences as to their operation, one allows axle slip the other doesn't.

That would be a -/= 15m turn for a 99in wheelbase.  The judder is the torsen 
trying to accomodate different axle rotations, which it *can* do, but not 
very well.

BTDT.  Comparing it back to back with a locker, you would understand the 
difference.  I think you misunderstand what you are 'feeling'.  Doesn't the 
feeling stay the same if you take a less that 15M turn?  If so, wouldn't that 
indicate that the experiment you presented has a problem, since on a 99in 
wheelbase, a turn of less than 15m would indicate that the torsen is allowing 
axle speed differences?

I'm not with you on this one Dave.

Even if we *accept* what you say is true, if the locker in the same wheelbase 
car starts pushing before the torsen, wouldn't that indicate that the torsen 
allows some axle speed differences?  My experience.
