Timing Problem Solved - Audi 80 Automatic flywheel?

I decided to take #1 spark plug out and check to see if the piston was
all the way up when the cam mark was at TDC, and it is. I then noticed that
there are 2 white marks on the crank pulley, is that normal? The second
mark lines up with the arrow on the lower cover at TDC, so the belt is done
just right. I then removed the distrib cap and checked the rotor to see if
it points to the mark, a little to the right of the mark. That should be OK
since the engine runs at 6BTDC right?
I then turned the crank back slowly checking the flywheel for the mark
at 6BTDC with my fingernail. There was no "0" mark on the flywheel visible
or feelable. Eventually I slowly turned the crank back and noticed a bump
on the flywheel that has a peak. That peak must be the 6BTDC mark on the
flywheel of the automatic cars? I have a manual 80 4 cylinder flywheel in
my garage which I was using as a visual aid, it has a "0" mark and a little
line that is 6BTDC. Autos must have a completely different flywheel with
out markings, anyone? I am about to mark it with a the line of white-out so
I can check the timing with the strobe.
So it seems as if my worries are unfounded about the timing. Although
we'll see once I get the strobe going with the mark whited out. Today has
taught me much about the ignition system, I love this stuff!

Thanks!
