BTDT, I try to let it warm, if possible. The car does not hesitate _only_ on
hard acceleration. I have to _try_ to baby it to avoid that jump. Yes, it is
not the worst thing possible, but it would be nice not to have to be
conscious of this problem. Also it would be nice to let others drive the car
without needing special instructions.

How hard are you coming off the line?  Mine will give a slight hesitation
when I give it a good jab when it is ice cold, but I don't think much about
it .  I figure I should just wait until it is warmed up before flooring it
anyway.

..............BTW, you are right about this. You should not drive under load
until your oil is warm.
