Check that you can get the handle of a hammer between the exhaust and
the transmission all the way down. If you can't, just force it in,
loosen the exhaust clamps, retighten, take the hammer out and go look
for more rain.
The problem is caused by differential cooling of the exhaust pipe. It
gets hot, like they do, and then the spray mostly hits one side of it.
This causes it to curve slightly and touch the prop shaft.
