Re: Cheap oxygen sensor pricing policies

I was wondering if it was a wide spread practice for an auto supplier to
charge more than one price for the same item in different applications? I
mean it in the sense of if the same o2 sensor was specced for a M-B sl 500
and a Chevy Cavalier (arbitrary models), do auto parts stores (and
wholesalers) charge more for the Merc.? I used to work at a NAPA and I
think this was practiced, although, I wasn't able to confirm it. So many
applications, not so many part numbers.
