turbo oiler?

i was leafing thru an older E.C. mag. and saw an ad for the "CM Turbo Oiler"
it's a inverted cannister (looks like a cylindrical fire extinguisher
cannister) that you mount in your engine compartment, inline with the oil
line going to your turbo. its supposed to continue to supply your
turbocharger w/ fresh, cool (stored) oil for up to 3 minutes after engine
shutoff, preventing oil coking in the turbo from heat. said it's used in
all the Skip Barber Saab IMSA race cars. Made by Canton Racing Products. and
runs around $125. phone number is (203) 481-8324 (Conn.)

anyone heard of/tried this? might have helped in my '84 turbo (oil cooled)..
