At least the filter and drain bolt are accessible. Look at the TT on a lift.
That filter is not in a very friendly place. I can only imagine what burns
would arise if the engine is warm...

There are a few A4, and A6 listers present. These cars are generally still
new enough that the chronic problems haven't surfaced (yet!). Hence the low
traffic.
Just did my first oil change in our 99.5 A4 2.8Q. Only a minor PITA.
Actually was easier than it first appeared. FYI there are (10, count em-10)
quick release fasteners holding the aero cover on under the engine in this
car. The cover must be completely removed to get access to the oil drain
plug and filter. Lining up (10) holes over a six foot span while lying on
your back on a creeper is a pleasure you just have to experience to
appreciate.
