i took the question to be more hypothetical in nature.
if you increase the volume of the combustion chamber in the head it will
affect the cr in the same way that dishing the pistons will.
in the specific case of the audi i5, the difference in cr between the turbo
and na is caused by the dished piston since the head and gasket are the
same parts.
