Re: HELP Before my tranny dies
One of the reasons Audi had trouble with the diffs were the use of
conventional oil (according to the head tech at my local dealer).
Converntional easily evaporated and left the diff to seize. The other
thing was even if it didn't get this far, the fluid that boiled, evap'd,
would cause the seal between the trans and gearbox to deteriorate and
eventually fail. Cahnge it out soon. Drivetrain shock and stress was also
mentioned.
