New Audi movie to add to the list
Saw a movie this weekend. Recent release... "Affliction" with Nick Nolte.
In one scene his ex-wife and her new husband pass Nick Nolte and his buddy
in a truck. His ex-wife's husband is driving a silver 90 QuattroSport. He
says "Damit! That was my ex-wife that just passed us in the Audi." The guy
driving goes "Hey, Audi's a good car, damn good!" You see the car in the
scene following it for about 2-3 minutes. It's definately a 90CS Quattro
Sport.... can tell from the spoiler and wheels.
I just thought it was cool that not only was it an Audi in this movie, but a
Quattro! Let me remind everyone that this was about the only redeeming
quality of this movie (besides Nick Nolte's bigot alcoholic dad's drunken
and offensive antics which had me rolling), so I wouldn't run out and rent
it or anything. It was a pretty lousy film.
One good movie with an Audi I saw recently was the Woody Allen film
"Celebrity". Joe Montengia in the movie drives a silver Audi A8. It is in
it for one VERY short scene though and is a supporting role to the 1967
Aston Martin DB6 driven by Kenneth Branaugh! ;^) Disclaimer: I liked the
movie but don't come crying to me if you don't. Others I saw it with
didn't, but I think Woody Allen is a genious although he's done some crap
recently (Deconstructing Harry to name one).
