Four lights is four lights. I said it was a Peeve... not particularly
rational, but easy not to trigger. Really I do judge by whether I'm
being blinded or not, & if one of those 2 or 4 or 6 lights is shining
in my eye, 560 watts is quite a nasty flash.

I dunno really, I bet one of the 5k people answers you though. I got my
juice from the output post of the alternator. As I recall the jumper
post is an insulator with a bolt going through a big eyelet on the end
of a fat wire? get an eyelet that fits the bolt, add another fat wire,
fuses etc and you're home.

maybe I should go take a closer look at mine!
The back of my "spare" (cracked) Hella 5 1/4" unit is greenish grey
metal. They don't melt, anyway.
