I've found a substance called Goo-Gone that I got at a cleaning products
supplier for motels, restaurants, etc.,  removes most tape adhesives.
Acetone (finger nail polish remover) also is pretty effective on some
adhesives, but you'd want to test for possible discoloration of the trim.
