I actually did just that on my 80 4000. The car originally came with
manual windows. I bought an Electric-Life power window kit from Germany,
and used its window regulator assemblies. This kit is of very high quality
and looks OEM. The coiled wire style mechanism is improved over stock.
Then, instead of using the Electric life switches and wiring which looked
a bit cheesy, I used the wiring harness and switches from a 5000 turbo.
I mounted the master control bezel (4 switches + rear lockout, and
mirror controls) on the driver's door armrest after hollowing out an opening
for it. The passenger side was similar, except it's for a single switch.
For the rear doors I used the same switch location as 4Ks with power windows.
The installation looks completely stock (except stock 4Ks have window
switches on the center console instead of in door armrest), plus now
I have the benefit of one-touch down on the driver's window, and retained
accessory power just like the 5KTs.

That is only just one of the many 5KT tricks I transplanted to the
4000. I now also have delayed dome light, central locking (original
was manual door locks -- This was a basic 1980 4000)...
