Re: Rolling cars without axles



Moving the car with the axel nut removed is not a good idea. You may get away with it but the manual says not to. The the wheel barings are not designed to be loaded in tension so without the axel nut on they can be overstressed easily. I don't like even resting the vehicle on the ground with the axel nuts removed.

Good thing you ask.  Your wheel bearings will die a quick death if you
move the car without the drive shafts in place.
