That's a pretty decent price, except for the pretty high miles.
Last year I paid $24,800 for a '95 A6QW with 39K, well equipped.
My tranny is the one sore point for me. Besides the obvious problem
that IT'S A FREAKING AUTOMATIC SLUSHBOX P-O-S, I seem to be having
some shift problems into 4th gear.
I'd check the tranny operation carefully, and get them to change
the fluid before you buy it.
Sluggish performance? I think you should see your next point
below. I assume it has the same 12V 172HP engine mine does. It
gets around OK, but it is not a "fast" car by any means.

I saw a couple when I look for my A6QW, but the price differential
was too steep (they were asking about $38K-$40K).
