Scott, Thanks for the suggestions although I did try a IBM latest greatest
laptop and it did the same thing. I have checked and rechecked and cleaned
the connection terminals and also checked the terminals on John's cable. All
are fine. Power management is something that John told me to make sure was
ALL off. What I really need is time to spend on it 'til I figure it out. If
I quit the list that would free up a couple hours a day....kiddin..kiddin.
