It's already 3 years since I had my pump resealed and it still works fine,
no leaks. I did not reseal it myself, though, the local shop specializing
in steering & hydraulic systems did it for me, so maybe the quality of
workmanship has big effect here.
BTW, they did my rack as well and it turned out to be equally reliable.
