Re: What years did the 5000 have quad headlights?



All 84's and all 85's had the quad headlights.

You will need:
new grille
headlight doors (the chrome around the beams)
sidemarkers (usually part of the headlight door)
beam mounts (4)
rewiring

I've had the quad setup. if you get 'em, use the xenon charged bulbs made
under the Wagner and/or Napa brands. Dramatically better lighting,
especially side lighting. Side lighting is poor on the sealed beam setup.
Before you try the expense of this, try using xenon charged 9007 bulbs in
the turbo headlights. I made this conversion and lighting is dramatically
better. Basically, you have to break one of the three retaining tabs and
swap two wires.
