Re: Qs: 4kq operating temp & identifying 1987.5 model

<< How do you tell if you have a 1987.5 vs. a 1987 4kcsq? I've heard people
say that the 87.5 has a bigger engine, and that it has body colored side
view mirrors & an all digital dash. Mine has body colored side views, but a
standard analog speedo & tach. There are pics at
www.est.org/~dorfman/audi/4kcsq if any of you can tell just by looking.

That stands only for Coupe GT's, although someone said that the 4000CSQ also
had a larger engine, but you'd be able to tell. The 2.3 looks completly
different in the engine bay than the 2.22. If you have a friend with a GL5,
GT, or Q, open up their hood. If yours looks the same, then you don't have
one of the mythical 2.3 4000CSQ's, of which, I have never seen one (having
seen roughly 20 or 30 87's).

1986 4000CS Quattro (2.22)
1986 Coupe GT (2.22, digital dash - figure that out. Not a CE)
