Re: K-Jet Problem

Yeah, I've thought of just using the CIS-E. Why didn't I swap it when I had
the engine out you ask? Because I'm generally a moron. I thought of it
many a time, but didn't do it...

Let me pose this long question: 1) Timing is correct. Verified by 0 on
flywheel, notch on crank pulley lining up with dot on lower TB cover, and by
sticking a depth gauge in the open spark #1 plug hole, noting that a turn in
either dirxn on crank bolt lowers the guage. Notch on cam pulley (inside)
lines up with VC gasket, additionally, #1 I & E valves appear to be closed
because cam lobes point outward and up instead of down. Rotor is positioned
so it begins to pass the #1 wire at this point. 2) I have spark, verified
visually by cranking w/ SP resting on bare metal. 3) I have fuel when the
pressure plate is lifted, verified by spraying myself and the engine
compartment liberally with gasoline enough times that I should have caught
on fire at some point. Assuming that the engine sucks in air, I should be
able to disconnect the large rubber hose over the cone, pull up on the
pressure plate, crank the car and it should start. HOWEVER, this isn't the
case. What's wrong with my logic.

(Oh, and swapped FPR's with the '85 parts car and no luck.)

BTW, Huw, saw the pic on the site -- great. I'll have 2-1/4" SS "cat" back
with a borla turbo muffler. But that will be after I get this POC running
someday (hopefully soon).

Thanks,
Alan
