CGT Clutch Options
Well it seems the clutch is failing on the '86 CGT. Just 6.2k short of a
million km...bummer.
I've finally decided to go with a stock rebuild (sentimental reasons).
This will depend on how the block and cylinder walls look once I get it a
part. I picked up a new head and a used 4kq manifold. Only other changes
will be valves and lifters although I may have to do some work on the
cylinder walls once I get this apart so I may end up with oversized pistons
but nothing more exotic than that. So I'm thinking maybe 15-25 hp more
than stock.
What's the consensus...220 mm pressure plate & clutch?
