There is a rekey kit (for changing a lock to operate with a different key)
that locksmiths can buy from Audi. The guy I've used for all my lock work
(I used to have a dozen rentals and a 44-room motel) said there are some of
the newer locks that he can't get rekey kits for, but he's got them for
most of the older Audis. This is not a K-mart key cutter. This is a
full-time lock service outfit. Find one like that and he can make the lock
fit your key. If you get the doorhandle/lock working properly and then
lubricate it regularly, it'll keep working for a long time.
