I _believe_ that the cylinders use all the same wafers, just in
different arrangements. At least that was the case on my 5k. Take apart
your old lock cylinder and very carefully remove each of the little
bronze wafers, laying out the wafers in order. Then do the same with
your new lock cylinder, and see if you can't arrange the new wafers in
the same orientations. I imagine that you can, but even if not you can
swap in the old wafers into your new lock cylinder.

As Huw said, you can loosen the post and move it around. You can also
replace it or simply swap posts from a different door, to get a fresh
plastic bushing to make it close nicely.
