Leaky slave cylinder, anything else worth fixing?

This mailing list is excellent, both in terms of organization and
content...I only wish I had found this before I bought my Audi this summer.

My "new" 1988 90Q (160K, I5, leaky rack, idle cycles 800-1000 rpm) developed
shifting problems soon after buying it. I had the
tranny oil changed immediately, and replaced the ball housing & shift rod
($$$) when a rattle developed under the shift boot. However, the
difficulty of getting into gears (especially 1st & 2nd) remained.

On the way to the shop yesterday, the clutch pedal would not come back up
every time (a friendly tug from underneath with my foot would pull it
out.) The shop says its a leaking slave cylinder ($296 parts/labor &
flush.) Is there anything else worth fixing or replacing while they're
in there?

TIA
