Parting vs Selling

Hey q-heads,

I own a 89 200t10v(FWD).
I don't know which way I should go for my car.

My car has alot of problems including, Steering Rack, Radiator cracked, 
penston reserve leaking, and I am also hearing a knocking sound coming from 
my suspension, airbag, highbeam stays on when you turn on the lights and a 
mess of more things.  If I sell it I know I am not going to get that much.  
What I am asking is if I part it, will I get more?

I need the money for the new A4 I am going to buy.  I'm in college, so 
anything helps.

Anyone with BTDT that would like to share?  BTW, I have NO clue how to take 
anything apart(ie, engine, gas tank, tranny, etc.)  So it makes it hard for 
the people who doesn't live near me.
