89 90Q troubles, 211 vs 215 fpr Q?



OK, 1st the troubles... just some cool symptoms I thought maybe someone
had seen before - a 3k rpm brick wall like a rev limiter, but what a
funny place for one.  New ignition stuff made the car run like a slug,
too.

I pull the fpr with the engine running (probably not too smart, but
then, I still can't spell elcretical engenier can I?), of course it
dies, I swap in another one I have, pins all labelled the same, no run, 
back to the one I pulled.  no run.

Anyway, this car had a lot of other troubles and I doubt if I broke
anything that wasn't about to go anyway (the dist cap was amazingly
horrible inside).

But the fpr in it was a 215 and the ones I had lying around (prolly from
5k's) were 211's.  Anyone know what's up with that?  Are they
different?  How different?   etc. etc.
