try looking in a diagram starting at the chime, not the ign switch, I
bet the wire in question isn;t even on the picture of the ign swq.

btw, if you are going to chop into that wire, let me try to recomend
finding one end of it and re-terminating it, or better yet as I said
ditch the chime or build a breakout and use the signal from that end.

you could always measure what is present (12v? ground?) at each one
relative to the key presence or absence.

You could also have figured it out prior to taking the car apart.  That
may sound rude but it is good technique and justified by 83 exclamation
points.

I'd look it up for you but my photocopied 200 manuals are locked up next
door.
