Running in...

Now that the shell of my 88 Ur-q is being worked on at the paint shop its
time to assemble the engine. Some of the messages posted over that last week
or so have started me thinking.

1. Oil.
a) The consensus appears to be that synthetic should not be used straight
away in a rebuilt engine - right/wrong?
b) I'm thinking of using two weights - a really heavy one during the rebuild
and a top quality 15W40 for the running in period

2. Running in.
How long and which rev limits for what periods?

What about fitting an adjustable 'soft break' rev limiter for the running in
period in case the urge to really use the boost overcomes my common sense?

Any advice?
