bad tires

i have to agree, i've had several separated belt problems with tires in the
last ten years. the one thing that they have in common is that they always
mimic a _really_ expensive repair. and substitution with a known good tire
(i have a really good spare) seems the only conclusive test. the real bummer
is when you have two bad tires :>(
