All,
 The fuse to the radiator cooling fan has corroded and blown. It doesn't
appear to be another problem. It looks like the fuse has simply gotten
really old and rusty. It is the piece of metal that goes between the two
ground terminals just before connecting to the fan.
 I don't suppose this is something that might be carried at a local parts
store....
