i was going about 55-65mph on a 4 lane rural hwy, and was hit in the LF by a
19 year old in his mom's '89 Corsica running thru a stopsign. apparently he
thought he could make it across all 4 lanes without stopping. my car spun
around twice before coming to rest down the road some distance with the
drivers side up against the guardrail (opposing traffic). ironically the car
was still running when it came to a rest. (i shut it off, tho because the rad
had been pulverized) i climbed out the drivers window, which had shattered on
impact. neither doors on the drivers side would open. basically the seatbelt
saved me. other than belt burns on my shoulder, and a bruised left leg/foot,
i walked away, and sustained no injuries.
safe car, thats why i bought another one...
