Not that were officially imported into the US ... Audi offered 16v versions 
of the 1.8 and 2.0 4-cylinder engines in some of their 3rd generation 80/90 
cars but these were never sold here.  That said, I'm not sure why he couldn't 
use the VW version instead as it's the _exhaust_ manifold that would be 
essential to swapping one of these into an Audi...
