Hi Tom,

A sure sign the master brake cylinder is going bad are the symptoms you
described, BTDT!  The only other possibility is a bad brake actuator (the
unit behind and attached to the Master brake cylinder. I had my dealer do
the master cylinder on my 5KS, about $300, (5 years ago).
