I heard more like the low sevens, like 7.2, and I doubt the corolla would 
give it a run for its money.  Motor Trend has the A8 running the time at 6.7, 
which would put the A6 around or at that time.  As for the Toyotas, which 
have traditionally been slow compared to the competition, I assure you that 
my Coupe, with 200K, can easily outrun one to sixty.  It did 0-60 in 9 flat, 
back when it was new.
